About D3 Ladder

What this is

D3 Ladder is a leaderboard tracker for Diablo 3. It answers one question quickly: where does a given BattleTag stand? Type a tag and you get every greater rift ranking that player holds — each season, each class, softcore and hardcore, across all four regions — with the rift level cleared, the clear time and the paragon level at the time of the run.

You can also go the other way and browse a ladder directly: pick a season, a region, a class and a mode, and page through the ranking from the top.

Where the data comes from

Every number here comes from Blizzard's public Diablo 3 Community API — the same season leaderboards the game exposes. Nothing is scraped from the game client and nothing is entered by hand.

Boards are imported on a schedule, with the current season refreshed most often. A player's profile — their characters, levels and paragon — is fetched on demand when someone presses Refresh from Blizzard on a profile page, subject to a short cooldown so the API isn't hammered.

What is and isn't tracked

The Overall and Solo-only rift ladders are imported for every class, plus 2, 3 and 4 player team ladders, in both softcore and hardcore, for US, EU, KR and TW. The per-set ladders (set dungeons and no-set variants) are not.

Roughly a third of leaderboard rows carry no BattleTag at all — players who have hidden their identity. Those rows cannot be attributed to anyone, so they are dropped rather than shown as anonymous entries. If your run is missing, that is usually why.

Who runs it

One person, as a side project, because the official leaderboards are awkward to search by player. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking pixels. If something looks wrong, say so — it is the fastest way to get it fixed.
