What is the Diablo 3 leaderboard?

Each Diablo 3 season keeps a public ranking of the highest greater rift each player has cleared, split by class, by party size and by hardcore or softcore. D3 Ladder imports those rankings from Blizzard's API so you can search them by BattleTag instead of scrolling the in-game board.

Why can't I find my BattleTag?

Three common reasons: BattleTags are case-sensitive and must be typed exactly as they appear in game, including the number after the hash; you only appear on a board once you have completed a ranked greater rift in that season; and players who hide their identity in the game's privacy settings are published by Blizzard without a BattleTag, so those runs cannot be attributed to anyone.

How often is the data updated?

The current season is re-imported regularly through the day, and older seasons are refreshed far less often because they no longer change. A single player profile can also be refreshed on demand from their profile page, which pulls their characters and paragon straight from Blizzard.

Why is my rank here different from the rank in the game?

The in-game board updates continuously, while this site shows the state as of the last import, so a very recent run can be missing for a while. Ranks can also differ because runs by players with hidden identities are dropped here, and because only one best run per player is kept on each board.

What is the difference between the Overall and Solo-only ladders?

Blizzard publishes two separate rift ladders per class. The Overall ladder counts your best rift whether you ran it alone or in a party, and the Solo-only ladder counts only rifts you cleared by yourself. They are genuinely different boards with different ranks, so both are tracked here.

Are hardcore ladders tracked?

Yes. Every class, team size and region exists in both softcore and hardcore, and the mode filter on the browse page switches between them. Hardcore ranks appear on a player's profile alongside their softcore results.

Which regions are covered?

All four Diablo 3 regions: Americas (US), Europe (EU), Korea (KR) and Taiwan (TW). Regions are ranked separately by Blizzard, so the same player can hold a different rank in each one.

What do the colours next to a rank mean?

They mark how high the rank is: orange for the top 10, purple for the top 100, blue for the top 1000 and grey below that. It is the same colour scale Diablo 3 uses for item rarity.

What happens to my ranks when a season ends?

Nothing is deleted. Finished seasons stay browsable and remain on a player's profile, so you can compare how someone placed season by season.
